Denmark Farmhouse Cheese & Duckett's Mill Wines create award winning cheese and grow premium grapes which are made into wine by Harewood Estate Wines, situated on the popular Food & Wine trail on Scotsdale Road in the picturesque Great Southern Region.

Duckett’s Mill Wines was established in 1996 by Ross and Dallas Lewis with the first plantings of Riesling and Cabernet. The property was once home to a small timber mill that burned down in the 1950s, inspiring the name Duckett’s Mill. On Boxing Day in 2004, Denmark Farmhouse Cheese opened its doors, adding handcrafted cheesemaking to the heart of the vineyard.

In 2018 Annette, Laurie, Jack and Tom Stock grew the business into the destination it is today, expanding the wines, crafting cheeses, and creating the cellar door experience known for its generous platters and regional flavours. Their dedication made Duckett’s Mill a place celebrated by locals and visitors alike, and they continue to produce handmade cheese while sharing their knowledge.

Josh, alongside his wife Gemma and son Brooklyn, proudly took over the running of Duckett’s Mill Wines in 2025. With the support and guidance of their parents, the family is committed to continuing the legacy of the business while taking the vineyard and cellar door into the next generation of growth and expansion. Thoughtful upgrades have been introduced to better showcase their handcrafted cheese and wines, while staying true to the character and heritage that make Duckett’s Mill so special.

Housed in a unique pine-slabbed farmhouse, the Cellar Door features a full tasting and retail area, with dedicated knowledgeable staff. Our deck offers restaurant style dining overlooking the valley and the open courtyard dominates in the warmer weather inviting tourists and locals a like, to enjoy world class platters of our award-winning cheese and a menu made in our small commercial kitchen.

A proudly family owned and operated business, sourcing locally produced milk from Hicks Dairy to manufacture high quality cheese, that has won awards every year (DIAA WA 2019 – 2025). Delighting local customers and tourists, Australia-wide with handcrafting artisan cheese, preserves, gelato, cakes and Seasonal Menu.
